Whenever you go to a new country it is always interesting to see what kind of currency they use. When I first came to Japan on a trip, I kept one of each of these coins and stuck them in my scrapbook. Japanese coins seemed so cool and foreign to me at the time…
Now that I am thinking about it, I wonder what happened to the 500-yen coin I stuck in there….It could seriously buy me lunch.
Why on earth did I think putting good, usable currency into scrapbooks was okay?
