Today you will learn to make a lunch box featuring a panda and a lion!
Ingredients:
- rice
- omelette (made thin, pictures below)
- macaroni salad (there is a pretty good recipe for it here )
- mini-hamburger patty (make a little one with some ground meat, veggies if you like and pan-fry it for a part of your bento)
- hot dog
- broccoli
- green beans
- edamame
- lettuce
- carrot (thinly sliced and boiled)
- seaweed
- cherry tomato
- 2-3 pieces of uncooked pasta
- a slice of cheese
Things you will need:
- A knife
- chopping board
- toothpicks
- straw
- scissors (that you can use for food)
- food picks
- cup
Take saran wrap and make three balls, two small (for the ears) and one big (for the face).
Take seaweed and cover the two small balls with it.
Cut out the seaweed to make the mouth, nose and eyes. Take a tooth pick and stamp out some cheese for the eyes of the panda.
Get out your mini-hamburger patty and a thinly cooked omelette. Make sure it is in a rectangular shape.
Take your omelette and fold it over. Take clean scissors and make cuts in it like the picture below.
Take the omelette and wrap it around the mini-hamburger. Take a piece of pasta and use it to pin “fasten” the egg onto the hamburger.
Cut off the end of a hot dog and slice it in half to make two ears. Boil them to make the lion’s ears. Fasten the ears on by sticking a piece of spaghetti through them.
Take a toothpick and punch out a mouth and 2 eyes for the lion. Take an edamame and attach it with a piece of pasta. Take bits of seaweed to make the eyes.
Cut little hot dogs like so
And then boil them to get the hot-dog flowers like in the picture below. Take your veggies and place them around your animals.
And here you are!
